We undertake, from the beginning of our professional activities, our commitment to non-discrimination, equal opportunity, the integration of people with disabilities, and respect for diversity. Consequently, we fight against discrimination in all forms. We are certain that success can only be achieved with people that represent diversity in its broadest sense, which includes, among others, gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, culture, marital status, and physical abilities.
We foster and participate continuously in activities to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
As part of these activities, in 2022 we organized an event on diversity and inclusion together with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice and the Pro Bono Network of the Americas, where we discussed several topics and concerns.
In 2020, our work focused on gender parity. In addition to several articles and presentations about laws on quotas to guarantee more women in management positions, we organized a webinar with the participation of authorities in this subject: Paula Vieria -partner at Mattos Filho, Brazil- Romina Benvenuti -General Counsel at HSBC, Mexico- Jorgelina Albano -Alabada and Humanin Haus , Argentina- and Rocío Balestra -former Director of the Argentine Securities Commission and Director for Latam of Fintech Risk & Regulatory of MercadoLibre-.
In 2019, we worked during Pride Month with the motto #wearenotneutral. During that year, our focus was working on the visibility of transgender people and access by transgender people to the legal profession. Among other activities, we interviewed Daniela Ruiz –a renowned transgender activist– and showed her testimony during different events for lawyers in Argentina and the region:
